Barcelona, Easter Trip 2012

I had a family trip to Spain in early April. It was our first family trip with Tarey. Barcelona will be a meaningful city to us. We rented an apartment with 2 rooms in Diaganol area. The weather was a little too cold as it was raining on the second day. And for the rest of the days the weather was fine. The locals are friendly and helpful. Not all of them can speak English but at least they still try to help whenever then can.

This year my birthday falls on Good Friday. All shops were closed on that day except restaurants. We had fun strolling at the street and visited Gaudi's famous architecture in Barcelona. Gaudi definitely a talented one..his architectures are really unique!

Shopping in Barcelona is awesome. I think you can get every Europe brand you want in Catalunya and La Ramblas area. There is a famous chain store name El Corte where you can get 18% of tax refund from your purchase. Of course it depends on your purchase stuff too. Some items are controlled with only 11% tax refund. I didn't shop much but still I manage to get my Birthday present there. Thanks hubby darling!! :)

It was my 1st time travelling with my dear mum to Europe countries too. It is really hard to drag my old folks to travel as they will either complain the weather, the food, or wasting money. And my dad always telling me that he wants to look after the house and car! I always tell them that those are not human beings, they don't need a babysitter! Daddy is not here with in Algiers because he wanted to look after his home in Sandakan. The reason is funny but I do understand him and never force him to come stay with me. Moreover, we are not going to stay in Algiers permanently.

Share with you, some happy memories in Barcelona.

We had our brunch at one of  the local restaurant near St. Joseph Boqueria.
We are getting old and we still working hard to build a happy family.
The tour bus which operate everyday even on public holidays.
Hubby and I would love to have a day ride around the city but  we can't as Tarey is still young that we can't bring her along. We can't even let mum to take care of her because Tarey will cry out loud if she didn't see me for long. Maximum 30 minutes.

We are planning next trip to Madrid in May. Hope we have another good one :)

7 & 8 Months Old

Obviously I have been inactive in blogging again. I thought I can have more free time when my mum's arrive in Algiers...but things still go the same. Good thing is I have someone to help out. I have no more serious back pain like before. My girl, Tarey growing healthily and started solid since she was 6 months old. Up to today she had tasted variety of cereals like wheat, oat, rye, barley and rice. As for vegetables, she had tasted onion, cauliflower, carrot, pumpkin potato and egg yolk. And for fruits, she had tasted apple, avocado, cantaloupe, grapes and mandarin oranges. She started to eat salmon porridge too. However, there is always good and bad. She started to reject milk which gives me a big bang! Even though she may have enough solid but I still think that milk gives her the best nutrition.

Tarey is quite slow in learning new things..well that's what I observed. She learned turn over and sit at later months compare to others. She is 8 months old now and she still can't crawl. I saw some other babies can do it even younger than her. Oh well, every baby is different and I don't mind if she learn it slowly. The most important is to have a healthy body. Here are some snap shots of my little girl at 7 months and 8 months old :)

We let her play with the chocolate box so that we could capture her picture.(7 months old)
I know she doesn't look like me but still she's my sweetheart forever!
And they look alike! Daddy's sweetie pie.

6 Months Old

This is definitely a late post. A new friend reminded about my blog. I should update more often because this is where I share my life to my friends as I am staying alone most of the time. My little girl is 6 months 2 weeks old now. Her weight and long is growing steadily. She had started solid, brown rice cereal on daily basis. She hates apple puree. She giggled whenever she taste it and wanna vomit it out. Se loves avocado puree! My mum said she is such a brilliant girl that she choose to eat an expensive fruit..hahaha...

We have moved to Algiers since 2 weeks ago. Weather was freezing cold as it snows heavily. Hubby asked us for picture under the snow but I rejected it cause I think that was too much for a baby. We should give her some time to adapt the weather difference...and if she get sick..I will be in BIG trouble..mamas out there, don't you agree?

So from now onwards, I will update more about our lives in Algiers. Herm..this place got no entertainment at all, lots of baby shops, and local food is nice. To my surprise there is no KFC or McDonald here but the local brand fried chicken is much more tastier. Maybe I should start a post with all the local food in Algiers, pictures will be the best descriptions!

5 Months Old.

Oh baby Tarey, you are 5 months and 6 days old now. You were 8.3kg and 68 cm long at exactly 5 months old. Dr said you were slightly overweight but mummy think it is alright cause as you learn to crawl and walk, definitely your weight will be decrease. Anyway..mummy still let you do some exercises daily to maintain a healthy grow :)
Mummy bought you this jacket from Carters USA. You need a good jacket to keep you warm when we are going to your daddy's working country.
Daddy said he will bringing us to an Island for a holiday somewhere in September 2012, so mummy bought you a sunny too!
You love your Christmas gift, you hug Hailey to sleep everynight and seems you have forgotten your old friend , Patrick.

Happy New Year 2012!!

Time flies and I am happy that the world didn't destroyed!! I was worry about 2012..when people talking about it like hot cakes early this year. I think is horrible if  it happens just like the 2012 movie. I hope the day will not come and all of us can happily stay in the earth forever.

This year..we celebrated at home as usual. It was raining cats and dogs. Family decided to have dinner at home, curry chicken and fireworks from the television. I always appreciate my time with my parents. They are getting old but still strong! My dad will be turning 72 this year and mum will be 58. Love them to the bits and Tarey loves them very much too. She always excited when she saw her grandma call her name out. She will moves her hands and legs hope that her grandma will carry her :D

Last year, I celebrated the new year with my husband family in Japan. Another trip to Japan after my last visit in May. The trip was great and I didn't blog it out last year because I was too busy with my morning sickness. Everyday, I just sleep, eat, read and watch television. PERFECT LIFE!!
It was so cold and you can see from my face, a tiring face :)
Our hotel bungalow in Shikoku, Japan.
Our Japanese friends and their traditional house in Shikoku.

Happy New Year Everyone!! Wish you all have a great year ahead :)

Merry Christmas 2011!!

I was down with viral fever and diarrhea since yesterday. Suppose plan to bring little Tarey to church for the Christmas eve celebration, but raining cats and dogs here in Sandakan, I still down with diarrhea, mum is too tired to go out and Tarey seems a little naughty today too, she just drank 19 oz milks for the whole day!! So all these "evils" makes my plan spoiled. I hope next year will be a better one.

Last year I celebrated the eve with my husband's family in KL and Tarey still hiding inside my tummy. This year all I have is Tarey giving me a big present by not drinking milk :(
Cheeky Tarey  with her Christmas hairband.
Tarey: Mimi bought me a present! Love it :)
Funny face with Ja jie jie...( Tarey loves biting her under lips lately)
Merry Christmas daddy!! Don't forget my Xmas present!!

2012 Resolution.

My hubby asked me to blog about my next year resolution. I realize I have been blogging all about my little girl lately. Oh well, I have stop travelling for a year since I was pregnant so definitely no travelling updates from me for a year. I just read back my resolutions for the 2011. Proudly to say that I have completed almost 80%. I am happy with that. The biggest achievement for myself this year will be my girl of course! Hey, to give birth is not that as easy as you think! The pain during delivery, the suffering confinement month and the non-stop sleep deprivation really makes me crazy!!! PLUS I went through 1 day of induction before my c-sec :(
A picture of my achievement!! This picture was taken after I woke up from my c-sec. Looking at my little one sleeping beside me, all the pains and suffers still worth it.

Alright, 2012 resolutions...herm I think it's gonna related to my family. I wanna be a better wife, better mummy, better daughter and a better daughter in law! Wow, 4 in 1 that's the hardest task, don't you agree??

Since I am full time mummy + housewife, I hope I can manage my duty better. Tarey's achievement will be my achievements as well. And I hope I get more praises or appreciations from my hubby as well.(Hubbie, if you see this, your words mean a lot to me!! With your words, I tend to get more inspirations!!)

Holidays for the year 2012, hubby had planned it. We will be going to Barcelona in April-in conjunction to celebrate my birthday. June to Amsterdam as highly recommended by a friend in Algiers and August to an island called Palma Majorca. I am not sure if we can go according to the plan. As you know, bringing a baby to travel is not as easy as thought. We just hope Tarey enjoys travelling as we do. Pray hard!

Maybe I should plan something for myself? Err...couldn't think of anything..perhaps more shopping for the year 2012!! Haha...

Tarey in Flower Dress.

Christmas is just around the corner. Another year that I won't be celebrating the festival with hubby, but I will celebrate it with my dear Tyan Xin! Haha..that's my girl chinese name. Many of  our friends thought the name was direct translate from Sweetheart. Nah..nah...this name brings the meaning of peaceful heart.

Last year, Tyan Xin was just about 12 weeks old inside my tummy. Hubby and I was resting in Sandakan after his contract ended in Jordan. I still remember clearly, during the month, my tummy always cramped at night. Hubby helped me rubbed some medicated oil on my tummy to release the pain. The pain came every night and I thought that was pre-menstrual pain. The pain last for a week, and my period was not here yet and I knew there must be something wrong. Without any expectation, I tested my urine and it shows positive! I said "without expectation" because before that I have been regularly tested for 3 months and it always showed negative.

So yeah...God gave us a baby after 4 months of hardworking :) I quickly went into the room and told hubby about the good news..and he thought I was lying to him -_-". Anyway..we were so happy and my morning sickness just after I went to see my gynae. Viola!!! All this happened a year ago, and baby Tyan Xin is here with now. She is already 4 months old and coming to 5 months old soon. Time flies~~And I am very happy with this baby girl who always make me angry and happy all the time :)

I just love dressing her like a doll everyday...you are such a cutie pie in mama's eyes! Daddy is waiting us to be with him impatiently. He wants to see your everyday progress too. We love you baby!! Hope you continue  to grow healthily and beautifully.More pics to show :D

Toothless babe :)
Happy babe!
She is preparing for next month "Gong Xi fa Cai".
