Barcelona, Easter Trip 2012

I had a family trip to Spain in early April. It was our first family trip with Tarey. Barcelona will be a meaningful city to us. We rented an apartment with 2 rooms in Diaganol area. The weather was a little too cold as it was raining on the second day. And for the rest of the days the weather was fine. The locals are friendly and helpful. Not all of them can speak English but at least they still try to help whenever then can.

This year my birthday falls on Good Friday. All shops were closed on that day except restaurants. We had fun strolling at the street and visited Gaudi's famous architecture in Barcelona. Gaudi definitely a talented one..his architectures are really unique!

Shopping in Barcelona is awesome. I think you can get every Europe brand you want in Catalunya and La Ramblas area. There is a famous chain store name El Corte where you can get 18% of tax refund from your purchase. Of course it depends on your purchase stuff too. Some items are controlled with only 11% tax refund. I didn't shop much but still I manage to get my Birthday present there. Thanks hubby darling!! :)

It was my 1st time travelling with my dear mum to Europe countries too. It is really hard to drag my old folks to travel as they will either complain the weather, the food, or wasting money. And my dad always telling me that he wants to look after the house and car! I always tell them that those are not human beings, they don't need a babysitter! Daddy is not here with in Algiers because he wanted to look after his home in Sandakan. The reason is funny but I do understand him and never force him to come stay with me. Moreover, we are not going to stay in Algiers permanently.

Share with you, some happy memories in Barcelona.

My little boyish daughter.
We had our brunch at one of  the local restaurant near St. Joseph Boqueria.
We are getting old and we still working hard to build a happy family.
The tour bus which operate everyday even on public holidays.
Hubby and I would love to have a day ride around the city but  we can't as Tarey is still young that we can't bring her along. We can't even let mum to take care of her because Tarey will cry out loud if she didn't see me for long. Maximum 30 minutes.
Gaudi Casa Batlo
Gaudi Casa Mila

The Cathedral of Santa Eulalia.
The famous Sagrada Familia.

We are planning next trip to Madrid in May. Hope we have another good one :)
